Review:

Robert Beltran is Juan Delgado, a conventional Peruvian cop who has just arrested one of the biggest drugs barons operating out of Peru. Cliff de Young is Shaun Broderick - the wise +blocked+ US cop assigned to bring him back to Miami for trial. Given that Broderick winds up in jail within an hour of landing in Lima is it obvious that the working relationship between these two is going to be less than harmonious. The scene is set for Lethal Weapon Peruvian-style. Unfortunately Cliff de Young lacks the psycho charm of Mel Gibson, and succeeds in being merely irritating. Robert Beltran is convincing as his strait-laced partner, but they just don't have the chemistry of the Gibson/Glover duo. Robert Beltran struggles manfully with a lacklustre script and pedestrian direction but even his talent can't save this from being a fairly average action movie with no real surprises.

Review:
This is a superior film of its kind,I dont want to give away the plot too much.Roberts acting is brilliant especialy at the end in the scenes at the airport. There is a lot going for this film, the scenery is interesting, the cast are all good and it moves along at quite a speed. The actress who plays Signora Delgado is adorable and Juans reaction to the news she has been stabbed is just brilliant...not shouting ,crying but confusion leading to anger..it will break your heart.Juan Delgado is one of the lovliest characters I have seen so far,I havnt seen Eddie yet and I have the top spot reserved for him.I liked the clothes Robert wears in this, his hair is lovely too.I still cant believe they cut it of at Parmamount...it never convinced me Chakotay was a Native American...I thought he was Polynesian for a while but then I was a late-comer.I cant think any fan of Robert would dislike this film,so enjoy.Angie
